My Story
I’ve been exploring the intersection of purpose and business for a while now, thirteen years to be exact. Back in 2009, working in the property development world, I was solely focused on “getting ahead” and making as much money as possible. I was miserable, unfulfilled and empty. And because my focus was solely on "getting ahead", I wasn't getting ahead at all—you and I both know that's not how it works.
Incredibly lost, I took off on a two-year journey around the world, from the islands of the Galapagos to the peaks of the Himalayas, in search of life’s purpose beyond surface-level success. In the jungles of Peru, sitting in a thatched-roof hut, a light bulb moment for my next business came to me. It was something I deeply cared about, that would allow me to use my skills and experience, serving a group of people who’d historically been taken advantage of in my industry.
I came home and put my new perspective around purpose to work and saw that business go from nothing to recurring monthly profits of $30k-$40k in the space of six months. And the light bulb never went out.
